Passenger Railroad Service at Elizabethville, 1894

The passenger railroad schedule for trains arriving and departing at Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, as printed in the Elizabethville Echo, 6 September 1894, was as follows:

Six trains stopped at the station in Elizabethville to receive and discharge passengers on a daily basis, except Sunday.

Three of the trains were heading eastward, with Williamstown as the last stop.  These trains arrived at the station in Elizabethville at 11:18 a.m., 5:10 p.m., and 7:04 p.m.

Three of the trains were heading westward with Millersburg as the last stop. These trains arrived at the station in Elizabethville at 8:12 a.m., 2:06 p.m., and 6:59 p.m.

Signal stops on the line were Wiconisco, Dayton, Woodside, Lenker, and Oakdale.  Signals at the station notified the train crew to stop passengers were waiting to board. The conductor signaled the engineer if passengers on the train were leaving the train at those stations.

Coal trains and freight trains shared the tracks with the passenger trains and sometimes a train was delayed on a siding while another train passed.

General Passenger Agent:  J. R. Wood

General Manager:  S. M. Prevost
