Reuben Kessler (1846-1915) and Elizabeth [Sweigert] Kessler (1848-1931)

Individual portraits of Reuben Kessler (1846-1915) and his wife Elizabeth [Sweigert] Kessler (1848-1931) believed to be taken about the time of their wedding, 26 February 1871.  The Kessler’s lived in Lykens Township and Washington Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.  He and his sons operated a distillery and brewery in Loyalton, Washington Township.

Reuben Kessler was the son of Abraham Kessler (1818-1881) and Catharina [Riegel] Kessler (1816-1892).  Elizabeth Sweigert was the daughter of Philip Sweigard and Lorraine [Fauber] Sweigard.

Reuben and Elizabeth are buried at the Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz, Dauphin County.
