Riegle Family Reunion, 1950

A photograph taken about 1950 of many of the surviving descendants of Harrison Riegle (1840-1899) and Hanna Louisa [Rickert] Riegle (1847-1919), taken at the Riegle-Dietrich homestead in Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

Identified are (using number key in photo above):

Front Row (children):  (#1) Bonnie Lynn Riegle; (#2) Cindy Lou Riegle, partially cut out of frame; (#3) Barry Dennis Riegle; (#4) Bryan Delos Riegle; (#5) Norman Gasbarro Jr., partially behind Bryan; (#6) William E. Gasbarro.

Middle Row (adults, kneeling or seated):  (#7) Beatrice Lorenne “Betty” [Keath] Riegle; (#8) Mildred Edna [Dietrich] Riegle; (#9) Louise [Riegle] Labe; (#10) Kathryn [Dietrich] Gasbarro.

Back Row (standing):  (#11) Daniel Harrison Riegle; (#12) Delos Norman Riegle; (#13) Edward Riegle; (#14) Melva Sitlinger; (#15) Helen [Hoffman] Dietrich; (#16) Carl Labe; (#17) Sally Hartman; (#18) —–?—–; (#19) Bertha [Riegle] Sitlinger; (#20) —–?—–; (#21) William E. Dietrich.

In 1950, Edward Riegle and Bertha [Riegle] Sitlinger were the only surviving children of Harrison Riegle and Hannah [Rickert] Riegle.  Sally Hartman was a cousin of Edward and Bertha.

The occasion of the reunion is not known at this writing.

Another photo taken at the same time shows only the living descendants of Norman Riegle, the youngest son of Harrison Riegle and Hannah [Rickert] Riegle, who died in 1942.
