STEVE YACYNICH
Steve Yacynich, 50, a resident of East End, Wiconisco, for a number of years, and formerly a Lykens resident, having operated a bar and movie house at this place in the “old brick hall,” died Wednesday at 11 P.M. at Polyclinic Hospital, from an internal disorder. He underwent an operation at the institution on Tuesday.
The body was brought to the Reiff and Helt Funeral Home and at the time of going to press, arrangements for burial were not competed.

Records on Ancestry.com indicate that Steve Yacynich, whose name is also found as Yacynech and Yacynych, was born in 1878 and was actually about 60 years old at the time of his death, not 50 as stated in the obituary. He was born in Austria and emigrated to the United States about 1907 and became a naturalized citizen.
