What Did a Haircut Cost in Loyalton in 1966?

Barbers in Loyalton, Wiconisco, and Lykens, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, who belonged to the Pennsylvania League of Master Barbers, took out an ad in the Lykens Standard, March 17, 1966, indicating that new prices would become effective on April 1, 1966.

A haircut would cost $1.25; for children under 12, $1.00; and a flattop would cost $1.50.

Barbers belonging to the League:

WICONISCO:  Leo Lucas; J. Marlin Osman; Ivandale Miller.

LYKENS:  George Brett; Aps Spangler; Don Christ; Elias Tiazkun; William A. Zerby.

    My dad, Paul Etzweiler, used to call for square dances at Loyalton barber shop back in the 60’s.
