Williamstown – Memories of Legionnaires Disease, 1976 (3)

JAMES T. DOLAN

James T. Dolan, 39, , of 127 W. Market Street, Williamstown, died at 12:10 Sunday morning at Pottsville Hospital where he was admitted, July 29 [1976].

Mr. Dolan was born in Williamstown and was the son of the late James F. Dolan and Anna Theresa [Hayden Dolan]. He lived in Williamstown all of his life. He was the last member of his family. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean conflict. He had been employed as chief division officer at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation.

He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, the church advisory board, Liberty Hose Company, Home Association of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6497, and Father Mark O’Neill Council 2486, Knights of Columbus, all of Williamstown, and the Catholic War Veterans of Pottsville. He was vice commander of the American Legion Post 239, Williamstown.

Surviving are three aunts, Mrs. Anna Fritz, Williamstown; Mrs. Verna Smith, Melbourne, Florida; Mrs. Marie Medwic, Philadelphia, and a number of cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday morning in Sacred Heart Church. Burial was in the parish cemetery where military services were conducted by the American Legion. The J. B. Ralph Funeral Home was in charge.
