World War II – William Rollings – Killed in Action

CHRONOLOGY

From the Harrisburg Evening News, 18 August 1944:

Air Gunner Missing After 50th Mission

WICONISCO — Mrs. Ellen Rollings, has received a telegram from the War Department stating that her son Corporal William Rollings, has been missing in action since 25 July 1944.

Corporal Rollings was a gunner and had completed 50 missions.  He was a graduate of Wiconisco High School and has a brother in the service.
