A colorized portrait photograph of George “Rinso” Marquette (1924-2008), born in Shamokin, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, and died in Lebanon, Lebanon County. In 2013, he was inducted into the Middle Atlantic Conference Hall of Fame for his work at Lebanon College as an athlete (Class of 1948), coach and Director of Athletics.
George was a graduate of Shamokin High School. From 1948-1949, he played minor league baseball (infield) for affiliates of the Boston Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers, and in 1954 for an independent team in Panama City, Florida.
