An early photo the Gratz Union House Hotel, southwest corner of Market and Center Streets, Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
The date this photo was taken was most likely before 1900 when there was no covered, wrap-around porch on the building – which was added after William O. Rogers bought the property in 1908. The individuals on the steps are not identified.
The Union House was built on this site in Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, about 1886 after a fire destroyed the previous hotel on the site. It remained there until it was destroyed in the Great Gratz Fire of 1924.
