John G. Ruton (1871-1949) – Found Dead Along Highway

IDENTIFY BODY OF MAN FOUND NEAR LYKENS

The body of a man, who collapsed and died along highway Route 209 near Lykens, last Wednesday afternoon, was identified as John G. Ruton, age 78, a native of New York.

The man’s death was ascribed to a heart attack as he was walking along the highway.

A motorist, passing at the time, saw the man collapse and took him to Lykens where a physician pronounced him dead.

The body was given in charge of the Helt Funeral Home.
