Rev. Earl R. Marks served as minister of Simeon Reformed Church, Gratz, Dauphin County, from 1950 to 1961.

Earl R. Marks was born 8 May 1927, at Myerstown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania,. His parents were Robert Marks and Eva Marks. Rev. Marks attended Lebanon Valley College and Lancaster Theological Seminary. On 28 May 1950, he was ordained at Richland, Lebanon County, and immediately accepted a call to the Lykens Valley Charge.
During the pastorate of Rev. Marks many student associates assisted in the pastoral duties of the charge.
Rev. Marks and Arlene Wiest of Reinholds, Pennsylvania, were married 28 October 1950. A daughter, Holly Marks was born to them in 1956.
In 1959, Rev. Marks resigned this pastorate to accept a call to the Heidelberg Charge of the Lehigh Synod.
