William H. Riegle (1873-1940)

An undated portrait photograph of William Harrison “Willie” Riegle (1873-1940), son of Josiah R. Riegle (1829-1886) and Amanda [Kissinger] Riegle (1831-1897), who spent the early part of his life in Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was a sister to Sally J. [Riegle] Hartman (1875-1970).

Willie was a tailor by trade and lived the latter part of his life in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, where he died at age 66 on 4 February 1940.

According to family records, he was deaf and dumb.

The photo was by Mallory Studio of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.
