World War I – Steever R. Day – Died of Pneumonia, 1919

MILLERSBURG SOLDIER DIES IN FRANCE (1919)

Steever R. Day of Millersburg, died in France on February 28, from pneumonia, the first death of a Millersburg lad overseas. He was a son of Charles R. Day, one of the borough’s leading citizens.

Note: Millersburg named its American Legion Post after him.

    Steever R. Day was not the first resident of Millersburg who died. Stanton Snyder was KIA on November 16, 1918.
